At HAWTHORNE INTEGRATIVE, our counseling services are designed to enhance the whole person
and to suit each individual’s needs with a focus on wellness, strengths, and self-understanding. Our counselors are guided by the philosophy that people often have the strength and resilience to conquer the many challenges of life, yet may need new perspective and tools to help them draw upon those inner resources. We work with an integrative framework, drawing upon cognitive-behavioral therapy and mindfulness-based techniques while using an existential lens to provide person-centered care. In our collaborations with clients, we value humor, creativity, and balancing challenge and support. While we do specialize in working with clients with anxiety, PTSD, and depression, we see clients who experience a wide-range of other issues.

Many of the issues we work with include:

Post-Traumatic Stress (PTSD)
Medical Trauma

Combat-Related Stress
Identity Development
Life Transitions

Post-Partum Issues
Personal Growth

Scheduling a First Appointment

The first step in scheduling an initial appointment is to fill out the short form on the Contact Us page. From there, one of our counselors will correspond with you to set up a session, and will send you the paperwork you will need to complete prior to meeting. During the first session, we’ll begin our work together by talking about the concerns that prompted you to reach out for counseling and answer any questions you have about the process.

Please note that we do NOT bill any insurance through our office. Clients who wish to use insurance will need to file for reimbursement following the session. We advise that you contact your insurer to learn about “out of network benefits” for mental health services. Our fees are due at time of service, and are as follows: $120.00 (standard therapy hour) for individual counseling with either Dr. Scott Hall or Dr. Michelle Hall. For couples counseling with Dr. Scott Hall, fees as $170.00 (1.5 therapy hours). We accept cash, check, and most credit cards/HSA cards.
